Mooswand trifft IAA Transportation in Hannover

Moss wall meets IAA Transportation in Hanover

For the IAA Transportation in Hanover, we had the pleasure of creating a large moss wall made of pole moss.

But let's start from the beginning... Atelier Verführt commissioned us for the TIP Central Region trade fair booth; we had already had the pleasure of designing a wall for Carl Roth GmbH at the laboratory technology trade fair in Hanover last year (we had already reported on this on Instagram).

The fact that we were able to work for Atelier Verführt again is, of course, particularly wonderful for us.

So we got to work - 1.92m x 2.84m, nearly five and a half square meters of pole moss. For a project of this scale, we always divide the surface area; in this case, we produced 2 panels. Both panels were inserted on-site into the frame already provided by the trade fair company, eventually forming one large whole.

Four hands and two days at the workbench later, the moss wall was finished.

We headed to Hanover on Saturday morning with the frame and the pole moss panels. We always like to travel to large projects ourselves to finish the joint between the two (or sometimes several) panels on-site. The wall was finally completed with picture ledges.

In the interest of sustainability, a frame was commissioned in advance so that the moss wall could find its new home in the offices of the TIP Central Region after the trade fair ended.

Moss and plant walls not only create visual highlights in interior spaces, but also improve the indoor climate and acoustics. Installations with moss and plants can reduce ambient noise by up to 60%.
